Framing
Although we can frame almost anything, we specialise in framing needlework. We frame to conservation standard so everything that comes into contact with your needlework is acid free. We lace all but the very smallest pieces using an unbleached linen thread and when we use pins, these are stainless steel T-pins. We are able to cut shaped apertures such as circles, ovals, octagons, arches and fancy corners to regular mounts.
There are various ways we can work with you:
- We work from our home studio in Kent and you are welcome to visit with your piece for a consultation and a quote. You can then collect your item when it is ready.
- We attend stitching retreats/events across the country where we do consultations and take pieces for framing. We arrange with you to collect it the next time we are at a retreat that is close enough for you to come along. Details of where we will be throughout the year are on the home page under Events.
- You can post your needlework to us and we can discuss what you would like over phone/email and send you images to choose from. You can either come to our studio to collect your piece or make arrangements to collect it from a retreat/event we will be at (see above).
