Welcome to Hawkins Hobbies

Here you will find bespoke kits for some of the most beautiful and magical cross stitch designs from Mirabilia, Lavender & Lace, Nora Corbett and Bella Filipina; Mill Hill cross stitch/beading kits for Christmas, Halloween and everything in between; Cute character kits featuring Winnie the Pooh and friends, Boofle, Lickle Ted and Somebunny. 

**NEW ADDITIONS**
We are delighted to offer a range of the beautiful kits from iMake. From small kits for dipping your toe in the water or just wanting to do something different through to larger designs filled with delicate silk threads, beads and crystals, their projects are well worth your time and effort. Check out the range of iMake kits currently in stock with more to be added in the coming weeks.

We are now offering 'just charts' for the Mirabilia, Nora Corbett, Lavender & Lace and Bella Filipina designs. You can still purchase one of the kit options but you now have the opportunity to purchase the chart only and buy the other materials at a later date (one of the kit options is 'excluding the chart'). 

You may have noticed two more categories at the top of the page – Glendon Place and Meloca Designs. We will be filling those categories in the coming weeks so keep your eye on the site!

**KITTING UP SERVICE**
Do you have something you want to stitch but the materials list is scary? Perhaps you don't know where to get the listed materials? Are you put off by the fact that you will have to get things from several different places and pay several postal costs – including some from overseas? We can make up a kit for you from almost any available chart from various designers, or if you have the chart, we can do the rest – even if the design is now out of print (obviously, we can't supply the chart!). So, email us, hawkinshobbies@gmail.com with a list of what you need and we will price everything up for you!

**EVENTS**
During the year, we are away at various stitching retreats and shows. Due to this, we close the site down to ensure that we don't sell something twice! You can still contact us by email, hawkinshobbies@gmail.com about anything you are interested in purchasing. During this time, there will be a notice on the front of the site, letting you know when it will be back up and we also post a notice on our Facebook page.
For some of the retreats we attend, you can come to see us (with the permission of the retreat organiser). So if you want to come along and buy from the shop or make an appointment for a framing consultation/pick up, then let us know closer to the time.
Currently, the site will be closed on the following dates in 2026:
September 17-21 (Ladybird Retreat, Crewe)
October 6-13 (Knit + Stitch Show, London)
October 28 – November 1 (NOBAM Retreat, Northampton)
November 12-16 (South East Retreat, Kent)


**UNITED STATES AND CANADA**
Unfortunately, due to changes in shipping and insurance regulations since the UK left the EU, we are no longer able to ship any orders to the United States or Canada. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

**EU, SWITZERLAND, NORWAY AND NORTHERN IRELAND**
Unfortunately, due to the GPSR (General Product Safety Rules) legislation that came in during December 2024, we are currently unable to accept orders from the EU, Switzerland, Norway and Northern Ireland. Apologies to our customers in these countries. Should there be any changes to the legislation, we will be able to take orders from you once again.

**SUPPLIES UPDATE**
We still have delays in receiving some Kreinik and Petite Treasure Braid due to problems at the manufacturers. This may be why some kits have been out of stock for some time. The site is 'live stock' so everything showing as 'in stock' will ship asap but realise that if you want to place a custom/bespoke order with us, it may take six weeks or more to ship this out. We will, of course, keep you updated.

If there is anything that you are interested in, that is currently out of stock, it may just be that we don't have an item to complete the order. Please contact us, hawkinshobbies@gmail.com, as you could have the option to buy the kit now and we will send you the missing items when they arrive or you could try to source a missing element yourself. We try to turn things around as quickly as possible when we receive them and will ship your order as soon as possible.
